Barclays and Start Design win silver at Marketing Society STAR Awards

We’re delighted to announce that Start Design and Hometown’s work for Barclays ‘The Investor Tester’ won Silver at the Marketing Society STAR Awards on Friday night in the Financial & Professional Services Category.

‘The Investor Tester’ was part of a larger scale campaign to promote Barclays Smart Investor platform. Which was developed to help customers learn the skills of investing against the backdrop of historically low interest rates and confusion around how to maximise savings.

To support the above-the-line campaign, deepen the story and resonate with people that they truly have the skills to invest, we created ‘The Investor Tester’, a series of puzzle-based games testing certain traits needed to be a Smart Investor. Introducing people to a world of investing through digital play.

Results have far exceeded engagement benchmarks and we were thrilled to celebrate with the Barclays team on Friday night.
